Smart Home

My thermostat’s set points are changing, and I am not adjusting them from the Sensi app. What do I do?

If your set points are changing, here are a few things to check:

Is Schedule turned On?

Yes – Sensi comes pre-programmed with a default schedule. If you don’t want to run a schedule, simply turn Schedule Off. Learn more about scheduling here.

Are you using Wink?

Yes – Do you have any robots set up? You may want to turn those automatic commands off. If you need help with this, reach out to Wink support.

Are you using Alexa/Google Home?

Yes – Someone could be using voice commands to control the thermostat. Check out our articles on all of the available Alexa and Google Home commands.

Are you signed up for Active Savings Events through your energy company?

Yes – Check to make sure you aren’t in an Active Savings Event. You should see a notification in the Sensi app and/or on the thermostat itself if you’re currently in an event. You can adjust the set point at any time to opt out.

Are you using Geofencing?

Yes – When you have Geofencing On in the Sensi app, Sensi will adjust set points based on whether you’re home or away. Learn more about how geofencing works here.

If you’ve checked all of these, try turning Keypad Lockout On in the Sensi app. This prevents tampering at the thermostat.
