Troubleshooting

Why isn’t my Equipment Interface Module (EIM) connecting to my Sensi Touch 2 thermostat?

If your EIM (Equipment Interface Module) will not connect to your Sensi Touch 2, here are a few reasons why it may not be connecting and how you can get it connected.

  • The EIM may be located too far from the thermostat.
    • Move the EIM closer to the thermostat. For the best connectivity the EIM should be within 100 ft of the thermostat.
  • The EIM is experiencing interference.
    • Move the EIM to a different location that gets better signal strength.
  • If you have tried moving the EIM and still are unable to connect, you can press and hold the reset button located inside the EIM. Once the pairing process has started the LED lights on the location status will be flashing green
    • Unscrew the EIM cover.
    • Press the Reset button on the inside of the EIM.
  • Learn more about the LED lights on your EIM.

*If your EIM is not connecting to your Touch 2 it is best to consult with your HVAC technician.

  • Thank you for your feedback.
