What's the difference between the Sensi Smart Thermostat and the Sensi Touch Smart Thermostat?

The Sensi Touch Smart Thermostat is a touchscreen Wi-Fi enabled thermostat. It requires a “C”/common wire to power on and comes in white or black. It has a few model specific features that has to do with lighting (Back Glow, Sleep Screen), but otherwise has the same features and functions as the Sensi Smart Thermostat.

The Sensi Smart Thermostat is Wi-Fi enabled as well, but does not require a “C”/common wire if you’re installing to a heating and cooling system.

Sensi Smart Thermostat

The Sensi Smart Thermostat model 1F87U-42WF has a 5-year warranty (if installed by an HVAC professional) with instructions and packaging designed for professional installers. The Sensi ST-55 has a 3-year warranty with instructions and packaging designed for retail. Both models are the same in construction, features, and functions.

Both Sensi Smart Thermostat models include compatibility with HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home/Google Assistant. 

Both models include features like Circulating Fan, Continuous Backlight, Keypad Lockout and more.

Sensi Touch Smart Thermostat

•    1F95U-42WFB – black, professional model
•    ST-75 – black, DIY model
•    ST-75W – white, DIY model

The Sensi Touch professional models have a 5-year warranty (if installed by an HVAC professional) with instructions and packaging designed for professional installers. The Sensi Touch DIY models have a 3-year warranty with instructions and packaging designed for retail. Both models are the same in construction, features, and functions.
All Sensi Touch models require a “C”/common wire to use, and there is no battery back-up. Learn more about adding a “C” wire here.
