Multiple Thermostat Manager Usage Report

What is a Usage Report?

The Usage Report in Multiple Thermostat Manager gives you a clear, month-by-month view of the HVAC runtime across all of your thermostats in one place. It summarizes runtime for heating, cooling, auxiliary heat, and fan, and also shows offline time so you can quickly spot connectivity issues. You can review the data as an at-a-glance summary bar or in a detailed table, compare usage month over month, filter by specific thermostats, and download the report data for deeper analysis or sharing.

To view your Usage Report, you must have Sensi thermostats installed, connected to Wi-Fi, and have an active subscription to Multiple Thermostat Manager.  This feature is not available through the Sensi mobile app^*.

Usage data may take up to 24 hours to appear in the report.

How to access the Usage Report

• Log in to Multiple Thermostat Manager with your Sensi account on the Multiple Thermostat Manager dashboard
• At the top, in the navigation bar, click on “Usage”.

Filtering Thermostats

You can filter thermostats by using the search text box or by the group drop down.  Using the search text box, you can filter by the name of the thermostat.  Clicking on the group dop down provides a list of your groups and let’s you view a specific group or all thermostats.

Choosing The Month

In the top left of the summary bar, you will see a drop down containing all the months and years of the usage data for your thermostat.  Click this and choose which month and year you would like to view the usage details for.  The data in both the summary graph and in the usage details chart will be shown for the selected month and year.

Comparing Month to Month

Click the ‘+ Compare’ button to compare two months.  Once clicked, you will be presented with a second summary bar.  This contains its own month and year drop down, and you may choose which month and year to compare to.  Below the numerical summary data, you will see the changes between the months.

Please note: The change details will be compared based on the newest month vs the oldest month.  Changing which month is the newest may change which summary bar is showing the change data.

 

Details Chart Data

The Details Chart provides a table view of the usage data.  If comparing two months, the data in this chart will be based on the newest month, with the change being calculated from the second selected month.  You may adjust which columns are visible.  You may also select or unselect thermostats.  Doing so will update the usage graph.  Clicking the ‘Download’ button the top right will download the data as you see it for the thermostats you have selected.  It will not provide the data for columns you have deselected.
