"A/C Protection" is a setting available through the Sensi app. This feature helps prevent damage to your equipment when cooling is turned off and back on quickly. When this is active, there will be a 5-minute delay before the Sensi will turn on the A/C or Heat Pump.
To enable the A/C Protection
- Tap your thermostat name.
- Tap the settings gear.
- Tap System settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and toggle A/C Protection on to enable the delay.
Sensi Smart / Touch 2
When “AC Protection” is engaged, in a call for cooling the “Set To” temperature will flash for the 5-minutes then will turn on the system and the app will turn blue.
Touch
When “AC Protection” is engaged, in a call for cooling the app will remain gray for 5-minutes but the face plate will turn blue. When the protection is over the system will turn on and the app will turn blue.
Lite
When “AC Protection” is engaged, in a call for cooling the "On" icon on the screen will be delayed by 5 minutes.
